The MOVEUS TEAM

Jens Johannsen, Jens Johannsen, 1959, is a dancer and movement-teacher and -therapist from Germany. Since 1978 he has been exploring the relations of body and mind on personal, social and global levels. For many years he studied with teachers in the fields of theatre, dance, voice, ritual, humanistic and Buddhist psychology, yoga, meditation, body-therapy and others. Among his teachers are Matt Mitler, Grotowsy-Laboratorium, Carl Rogers, Tim Buckley, Martha Moore, Patricia Bardi, Aja Addy, Lama Chime Rinpoche, Upledger Institute, Suprapto Suryodharmo, Amos Hetz, Ron Kurtz and Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen. Jens has Performance-experience since 1980 and has been teaching internationally since 1982.
Jens is a senior BMC®-Teacher, teaching in the trainings of the School for Body-Mind Centering since 1993. He directed the last European training at Chiemsee, Germany. For 15 years Jens has been leading his own BMC-training groups that run from one to several years. He works with clients of all ages. He is interested especially in meditation in and through movement and has also been co-developing an application-program of BMC to alpine skiing. Jens in his work integrates detailed knowledge about the physical body and the process of embodiment with humour, joy of movement and expression with a spiritually open approach.

Friederike Tröscher, Practitioner and Teacher of Body-Mind Centering. Occupational therapist and dancer (new dance, contact improvisation). Teaching movement since 1992 and working with people individually since 1988. Offers individual sessions, classes, workshops and a 1-year training program in BMC and was part of the team setting up the BMC Practitioner program at Chiemsee 2003-2007. Works with babies and adults and teaches BMC for dancers, actors, musicians and other bodyworkers. She is interested in using BMC to explore our potential and deepen our presence, no matter where in life we are. Mother of a 6-year old boy and a little daughter she lives with her family in Cologne.

 
BMC Worckshops

Thomas Greil: Practitioner and Teacher of Body-Mind Centering, started together with Myra Avedon, Jens Johannsen and Friederike Tröscher the Chiemsee Program 2003-2007. He is currently the educational director of the Association SOMA, which is offering the BMC Cert. Program in France and Brussels since 2006. He is offering private session, group classes and parent-baby groups. He works with babies, children and adults especially with neurolological and muscular/skeletal challenges.

 

 

Practitioners/ Teachers/ SMEs of BMC

Katharina Bamberger, Certified Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering® since 1999 and certified craniosacral therapist since 2006 (Milne Institute / visionary craniosacral work). Private practice for craniosacral therapy and Body-Mind Centering® in St. Gallen (Switzerland). She loves to bring together defined anatomical and physiological knowledge with the worlds of sensation, emotion and spirituality.

Sarah Menger ist Tänzerin, Choreografin und Body-Mind Centering® Practitionerin mit Wohnsitz in Berlin. Ihre Ausbildung erhielt sie an der Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, am Dance Vision Institute in San Francisco, bei bewegungsart in Freiburg und an der School for Body-Mind Centering®. Sie arbeitete u.a. mit Daniel Lepkoff, Walli Höfinger, Amos Hetz, Isabelle Schad, Frédéric Gies und der Shua Group New York. Ihre eigene künstlerische Arbeit ist geprägt durch die langjährige Beschäftigung mit Instant Composition/Physical Improvisation und verschiedenen Körperarbeitstechniken (BMC, Gindler-Arbeit, Yoga, Tai Chi). Im Moment arbeitet sie in verschiedenen Projekten in Kollaboration mit MusikerInnen und erforscht das Zusammenspiel von Bewegung und Klang. Sie ist Lehrerin im Somatic Movement-Art Training in Berlin und unterrichtet Tanzimprovisation, Movement Research und Körperarbeit seit 2000 im In- und Ausland.

 

Sarah Menger is a dancer, choreographer and Body-Mind-Centering® Practitioner based in Berlin. She studied at Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, Dance Vision Institute in San Francisco, bewegungsart in Freiburg and at the School for Body-Mind-Centering®.

Sarah worked with Daniel Lepkoff, Walli Höfinger, Amos Hetz, Frédéric Gies and the Shua Group New York. The piece “Musik (Praticable)” by Isabelle Schad just premiered in Sophiensaele in May 2011.

Her own work is influenced by many years of practice of Instant Composition/Physical Improvisation and different body work techniques (BMC,  Gindler work, Taiji, Yoga) as well as collaborations with musicians in various projects .

Since 2000 she has been teaching dance and bodywork in Germany and abroad and is currently on staff at the Somatic Movement-Art Training in Berlin.
